During the month of Ramadan, Robi had introduced a unique recharge campaign which allowed its subscribers to contribute towards a humanitarian cause while recharging against their mobile phone number.
Under the recharge campaign, out of every 35 taka recharge, one taka was contributed to such a cause while, out of every 59 taka recharge, two taka was contributed for the same purpose. In addition, Robi had made a significant contribution itself.
Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed had handed over the cheque to Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital’s Managing Director & Consultant Orthopedic, Brig. Gen. Dr. Syed Fazle Rahim (retd.), MBBS, MS (Ortho), FICS. The cheque handover ceremony took place at the Robi’s Corporate Office (RCO) in Dhaka.
Robi’s Vice President (VP), Business Operations, Mahbubul Alam Bhuiyan; VP, Corporate Affairs Sharif Shah Jamal Raz and Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital’s Director Medical Service & Head of the Dept. Radiation Oncology, Prof. Dr. Qamruzzaman Chowdhury MBBS, FCPS, DMRT; Deputy Director, Kazi Forhad Alvi and Consultant Marketing & Business Development, Md. Iftekharul Islam were present on the occasion.
Prior to the cheque handover ceremony, Prof. Dr. Qamruzzaman Chowdhury conducted an awareness workshop for the Robi employees on Cancer at the RCO.
