Al-Arafah Islami Bank opens 150th branch at Borguna

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. has opened 150th  branch at Patharghata, Borguna on 5 November, 2017, a press release said Sunday.

Director of the Bank and Chairman of AIBL Foundation Alhajj Abdul malek Mollah inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest.

Managing Director Md. Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony.

Senior Vice President and Head of AIBL Khulna Zone Md. Manjurul Alam delivered the welcome speech.

The occasion was addressed by prominent businessman Md. Jamal Sharif, Arun Karmokar, councilor Mostafizur Rahman Sumon, Press Clab President Golam Mostofa Chowdhury, Taifur Rahman Tapu, Officer In-Charge of local police station S. M. Ziaul Haqu, Ex-Mayor Mallik Md. Aiyub, General Secretary of Upazila Aowami League Advocate Jabir Hossain, President Alamgir Hossain Dadu and Mayor Md. Anowar Hossain Akon.

The ceremony started with recitation of the Holy Quran by Khatib of Patharghata Central Jame Mosque H. M. Golam Kibria and concluded with dua by Vice Principal of Patharghata Siddikia Fazil Madrasa Moulana Abdur Razzak.

The program was directed by Senior Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah and Vice President Jalal Ahmed. Manager of the branch Md. Mahtab Uddin thanked the audience.

Chief Guest of the ceremony, Chairman Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah, in his speech, said Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. was established not for making profit by doing business but for the welfare of the society.

He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking service in the new branch. He also said, only Islamic banking system can boost-up the economy of the country.
