Al-Arafah Islami Bank opens branch at Bashundhara Residential Area

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. has opened 151st branch at Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka on 12 November, 2017, a press release said Sunday.

Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest.

Directors of the Bank Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah and Alhajj Md. Harun-Ar-Rashid Khan were present as special guests. Managing Director Md. Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony.

Deputy Managing Director of the Bank Kazi Towhidul Alam delivered the welcome speech.

The occasion was addressed by Senior Deputy Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Md. Belayet Hossain and prominent businessman Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Khan.

Among others, Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank Md. Fazlul Karim and S. M. Jaffar were also present. The program was directed by Senior Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah and Vice President Jalal Ahmed. Manager of the branch Sayeed Ahmed Chowdhury thanked the audience.

Chief Guest of the ceremony, Chairman Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu, in his speech, said Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. was established not for making profit by doing business but for the welfare of the society. He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking service in the new branch.

He also said, only Islamic banking system can boost-up the economy of the country.
